A 15-year-old Silver Spring teen has been arrested and charged with two counts of second-degree murder in connection with a double homicide that occurred over Memorial Day weekend.
A 15-year-old Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School student has been charged in connection with bomb threats made against the school on Thursday, May 16, 2024.

The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) issued a traffic advisory at 9:16am Monday morning for an oil spill that closed a portion of Goshen Rd in Gaithersburg/Montgomery Village.
District 3 (Silver Spring) Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) Commander Jason Cokinos shared via social media on Saturday that an arrests were made for a street robbery after the juvenile suspects were spotted and tracked by Drone as First Responder (DFR).
The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPS) has announced the following: “Justin Lee, a Montgomery County police officer, was found guilty today in the U.S. District Court in the District of Columbia for his involvement in the January 2021 insurrection at the United States Capitol. The guilty verdict was delivered by Judge Trevor McFadden during a bench trial.”
