Police and Family Concerned For Welfare of Missing 11 and 15-Year-Old Brothers

15-year-old Sean and 11-year-old Santino Jones were last seen on Sunday, April 30, 2023, at approximately 10 p.m. near the area of Bethesda Lane and Bethesda Avenue. Sean is approximately 5-feet, 8-inches tall and weighs 140 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. He has a tattoo on right arm and was last seen wearing black jeans and carrying a backpack. Santino is approximately 4-feet, 9-inches tall and weighs 135 pounds. He wears his hair in short locs and has brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black shirt and mint green sweatpants. Police and family are concerned for their welfare.

Air Bag Crime Prevention Information and Tips

The National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB) estimates roughly 50,000 air bags are stolen each year, resulting in an annual loss of more than $50 million to owners and insurance companies. Hondas are the most common target of thieves, because their air bags can be removed in as little as 30 seconds.

Air bags are easy to steal and hide. Thieves resell the stolen air bags on the black market or on internet websites. Unscrupulous collision repair shops purchase the stolen air bags for between $50 to $200 each—which is cheaper than the $1,000 price tag at a dealership—in order to turn a profit, according to the NICB. Per MCPD: Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Special Victims Investigations Division (SVID) are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Madalyn “Wren” Carper, a missing 15-year-old from Gaithersburg. Wren was last seen on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at approximately 12:30 p.m., in the 15800 block of Quince Orchard Rd. Wren is approximately 5-feet, 7-inches tall and weighs 150 pounds. She has red hair and hazel eyes. She was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, black shorts, and white high-top Converse sneakers. She may be carrying a dark colored backpack and a tan tote bag. Police and family are concerned for her welfare.

Per MCPD: Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 3rd District Investigations Section are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Mary Lee Overton, a missing 85-year-old woman from Silver Spring. Overton was last seen on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at approximately 2 p.m., in the area of Hanover St. and Grace Church Rd. She may be traveling to the Downtown Silver Spring or Friendship Heights areas. Overton is approximately 5-feet, 5-inches tall. She has brown eyes, grey hair and was last seen wearing a black jacket and brown pants. Police and family are concerned for her welfare.

Jeffers was last heard from on Tuesday, November 4, 2022. He may be in the Baltimore, MD or York, PA areas. He is approximately 5-feet, 6-inches tall and weighs 150 pounds. He has blonde hair and blue eyes. It is unknown what he was last seen wearing. Police and family are concerned for his welfare.

Funes was last seen on Friday, April 21, 2023, at approximately 12 p.m., in the 400 block of Muddy Branch Road. Funes is approximately 5-feet, 2-inches tall and weighs 120 pounds. She has brown eyes, brown hair and wears glasses. It is unknown what clothing she was last seen wearing. Police and family are concerned for her welfare.

Montgomery County Police Asking for Assistance in Identifying and Locating Guardians or Family of Non-Verbal Man

Montgomery County Police are asking the public’s assistances in identifying a non-verbal man that walked into a hospital on April 20. Per MCPD: “Montgomery County Department of Police is asking for assistance in identifying and locating guardians or family members for a male that walked into a Montgomery County hospital Thursday, April 20 at approximately 8:30 p.m. He is approximately 5-feet 8-inches to 5-feet 9-inches tall, with short black hair and all black clothing. He is non-verbal.

Woman Located Safe and Unharmed After Last Being Seen on August 1st, 2022

Wudaise Melese has been located safe and unharmed after previously being last seen on August 1, 2022. Montgomery County provided the update on Thursday morning without any additional information. Last week, it was reported that detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police- Cold Case Section were continuing to ask for the public’s assistance in locating Wudaise Melese, who was last seen on Monday, August 1, 2022, in the 3400 block of Landing Way.

UPDATE: Wudaise Melese has been located safe and unharmed. Thank you for sharing.

MCPD Releases Message on Autism Wandering Safety After 10-Year-Old Charles County Girl With Autism Lost Her Life Wandering Into a Body of Water

Please know that your Montgomery County Officers are trained on effective response to all types of calls for those who have autism/IDD to include calls for wandering. We understand the urgency in response and the challenges of caring for an individual that may wander. We only want to find your loved one safe. MCPD responds to an average of 3-8 calls a week, for individuals we locate before families call 911.

Please do not wait to call 911 if your loved, who has autism/ IDD, is missing. We know that there will be bumps in the road in caring for a child/adult that has autism and a propensity to wander.

Police and Family Concerned For Welfare of Missing 16-Year-Old

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Special Victims Investigations Division (SVID) are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Jayla Hungerford, a missing 16-year-old from Gaithersburg. Hungerford was last seen on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at approximately 9 a.m., on South Frederick Ave.

Hungerford is approximately 5-feet, 7-inches tall and weighs 125 pounds. She has brown hair, brown eyes and was last seen wearing a black hoodie, a grey shirt and black shorts. Hungerford has three tattoos: Tinkerbell, on her left chest, a heart, on the right side of her lower back and a cross, on her left ankle.
