A coordinated traffic enforcement effort across Montgomery County and surrounding jurisdictions resulted in hundreds of stops and violations as agencies focused on improving roadway safety during Distracted Driving Awareness Month. The multi-agency initiative took place on April 8, targeting major roadways including Georgia Avenue, New Hampshire Avenue, University Boulevard, and MD-200. The effort brought together local and state law enforcement agencies in a unified push to identify and address dangerous driving behaviors, with a particular emphasis on distracted driving.

A heartfelt message left on a DoorDash order has led to an outpouring of generosity from Mackie’s Barbecue, which is now trying to track down the customer to offer a life-changing gesture. The order included a single “Mystery Cookie,” but it was the note attached that stood out.
