County Executive Marc Elrich has tested positive for Covid-19, according to a statement he released via social media earlier this evening.
In the statement Elrich refers to mild symptoms and feeling tired.
Beginning this Saturday, January 1, the use and sale of all #6 polystyrene (foam & rigid) plastic food service ware will be prohibited in Montgomery County.

On December 17, Blanca Kling, who passed away in January 2021, was awarded the Roscoe R. Nix Distinguished Community Leadership Award for serving Montgomery County residents for four decades.
Blanca began working as a Victim Assistant in Wheaton for Montgomery County Police in 1980. In 2005 she transitioned to the Public Information Division with the goal of helping to strengthen communications between the police department and the Hispanic community.
