Last month we told you the story of Toan Luu, the owner of Luu Color Center (Benjamin Moore) in Rockville that tragically passed away earlier this year from COVID-19.

Toan’s daughter Huong has since stepped in to run the store and asked us to spread the word that they have a variety of 18×24 paint sheets to donate to local schools and/or families who have kids at home and would like some for arts & crafts.


MoCo Alcohol Beverage Services Celebrates Black History Month with Amplifying Black Voices (ABV) Program

The Montgomery County ABS (formerly Department of Liquor Control) is celebrating Black History Month with a new campaign titled “Amplifying Black Voices (ABV)”, which focuses on black owned liquor and wine brands.


Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich, County Health Officer Dr. Travis Gayles, and the County’s Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security Director Dr. Earl Stoddard will host their weekly virtual media briefing on Wednesday, Feb. 3 at 12:30 p.m.
