On Thursday, Governor Wes Moore celebrated the renaming of Maryland’s Banneker Douglass Tubman Museum, marking Harriet Tubman’s legacy on the 160th anniversary of Maryland’s Emancipation Day, while honoring local leaders and the museum’s role in preserving African American history and promoting justice.

Attorney General Anthony G. Brown, along with 49 other states, have reached a $52 million settlement with Bethesda-based Marriott International over a multi-year data breach, requiring Marriott to strengthen its cybersecurity practices and offering consumer protections, with Maryland receiving over $2.2 million from the settlement.
