Bark Social, the first dog bar in the Mid-Atlantic region, is one step closer to arriving after securing its liquor license and final permits before constructing the building.

The 25,000 square foot dog park will also have a 2,500 square foot covered patio and will even incorporate The Beach into its park. It will be kid friendly and fenced off from the dog park. It will also be FREE to use.


PR at Partners hair salon announced that their Pike & Rose location is closing permanently. In an email that was sent out to their clients, they stated that they are closing due to the “health and financial crisis” that COVID-19 has created.

They plan to keep their Reston VA and Mazza Gallerie (Friendship Heights) locations open.


The Beach at Pike & Rose has a new addition– a sign stating that there are plans for it to be demolished. This may come as a surprise to many, but the intention was for The Beach to be temporary.  It was constructed right before Summer of 2018 and was only supposed to last until Labor Day of that year.  Due to popular demand, the beach was kept open much longer.

We are told that even though The Beach is disappearing, something equally fun and entertaining will replace it. We don’t have any official word on its replacement just yet.


UPDATE: The White Flint Lord & Taylor was included in the list of Lord & Taylor stores Forbes released of locations that will be closing in the coming months.

Reuters reports that Lord & Taylor “plans to liquidate inventory in its 38 department stores once restrictions to curb the spread of coronavirus are lifted as it braces for a bankruptcy process from which it does not expect to emerge.”


Mynd Spa, formerly known as the Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa, has informed all employees that they are laid off and is closing all 25+ locations across the country.

The company has released the following statement, “It is with sadness and disappointment that Mynd Spa and Salon has permanently closed.”


Cava Mezze is offering 10% off curbside pick-up as well as contactless delivery at all of its restaurants.

The restaurant group, started by MoCo guys Dimitri “Chef D” Moshovitis, Ted Xenohristos, and Ike Grigoropoulos, opened its first location in Rockville 14 years ago.
