Detectives from the Gaithersburg Police Department – Investigative Section are investigating a shooting that occurred in the 300 block of Copley Place in Gaithersburg’s Downtown Crown neighborhood.

Last week, we reported that Montgomery County Police, in partnership with Homeland Security and IRS-CI, announced it has led a successful investigation dismantling a Prince George’s County theft and fencing ring trafficking stolen goods worth $270,000 from major retailers and generating over $1 million in untaxed revenue with merchandise shipped to South America. On Monday, Attorney General Anthony G. Brown announced the indictment of four individuals involved.
Gaithersburg Police Chief Mark Sroka presented the Lifesaving Award and recognized several promotions during a presentation and pinning ceremony at the September 16 Mayor and City Council meeting.
