Christian Veilleux was a two-year letterman for head coach Patrick Cilento at the Bullis School in Potomac. Today, the freshman quarterback entered the game for Penn State after starter Sean Clifford was injured in the first quarter.

Prior to this game, Veilleux last threw a pass in a live game in November 2019, but he was still able to provide the spark the struggling Penn State offense needed. He threw for three touchdowns and 235 yards after the offense produced 32 yards and one first down on its first four possessions, prior to Veilleux entering the game.


On Monday in the Circuit Court for Montgomery County, John Joseph Odonnell, 35 of Bensalem, PA, was sentenced to 30 years in prison, all but 12 suspended, for setting fire to a home along Korman Drive in Potomac on October 26, 2020.

According to a release from the Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office, Odonnell pleaded guilty to first-degree arson and home invasion following a fire he set at the home of a woman who was a stranger to him.  Odonnell admitted to authorities that he was under a drug induced psychosis at the time he started the fire.

According to Chief Spoksperson for Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service Pete Piringer, there were two different incidents today that required emergency responses.


2020 has been a difficult year for restaurants. A few weeks ago we released a list of restaurants that have closed since March 17th.(not necessarily due to Covid, but since the day the initial restrictions were put in place).

While that list is long, there are still plenty of restaurants planning to open in MoCo in 2021.
