City of Rockville to Post Additional Signage at Red Light Cameras

The City of Rockville will be posting “Right Turn Yield on Red After Stop” signs at ten intersections with red light cameras according the Rockville Public Information Office. The signs are intended to remind drivers that they must make a full stop before turning or they could be subject to an electronic ticket.

R.E.M. will go down in rock and roll history for their legendary hit songs. A popular favorite is “It’s the End of the World As We Know It.” When it plays, everyone in the car shouts the chorus and mumbles the rest. But while I was scrolling through a list of R.E.M’s music, I was surprised to find a lesser-known song featuring Montgomery County’s Rockville.


Veirs Mill Road…Viers Mill Village– Which One Is It?

Depending on where you are, you’ll see different spelling of Veirs/Viers. You have Veirs Mill Road, but the housing development, Viers Mill Village, is spelled differently. Even Viers Mill Elementary School goes against the official spelling of the road, as ruled by Montgomery County back in 1967.
