In the summer we let you know that Gumbo Ya Ya, a Cajun and Puerto Rican fusion restaurant with a location in Germantown, was coming to Rockville Town Square.

They’ll open this Friday, November 1st, and we have their brand new menus below (full menu, happy hour menu, and Sunday brunch menu).

Saturday, October 26, from 9:30am-1:30pm, Barry Weinberg will be at Ize’s Bagels, selling and signing his New Book “Eating My Way Through Baseball,”

Lee and Angie are long-time friends of Barry’s parents and his first book signing is in loving memory of Edith and Harold at their favorite restaurant.

Last year the Corned Beef King packed up and moved from Olney to Liberty gas station at Rockville Pike and Twinbrook. After almost a year and a half, Corned Beef King will be moving to a space inside of Dawson’s Market.

Dawson’s Market re-opened in Rockville Town Square under new ownership this past December after closing for two months.

Earlier this year, Del Frisco’s Restaurant Group agreed to be bought by private equity firm L Catterton for $267.3 million. Last month, Landry’s, Inc. signed a definitive agreement to acquire 100% of the Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouses and the Del Frisco’s Grilles from L Catterton.

We aren’t sure of what will become of the current Del Frisco’s Grille in Pike & Rose, but we were told today that October 20th will be the last day it operates as Del Frisco’s before closing.
