Doughboys Pizza is now open at 15410 New Hampshire Ave. in Cloverly, taking over the former Bear Brick Oven Pizza and Greek Islands Grill space. The restaurant opened Tuesday with a soft opening from 12pm-8pm. The MoCoShow’s own “Mr. MoCo” Alex Tsironis stopped by to support the new locally owned restaurant. Chef’s Counter at Burnt Hill in Clarksburg has been named one of The New York Times’ 50 favorite restaurants in America for 2026, and it was the only restaurant in Maryland to make this year’s list. A video of the experience can be seen below.
Chef and restaurateur Brad Feickert is preparing to open MilePost 7 Pub at 8000 Flower Ave in Takoma Park, taking over the former Mansa Kunda space. The neighborhood pub will offer Americana fare, a daily $5 happy-hour menu, weekend brunch, and an ice cream and candy shop.
CAVA has temporarily closed its Westfield Montgomery Mall location for renovations. According to signage posted at the restaurant, it is expected to reopen in winter 2026.

When they launched Flavor Hive as a food truck in Alexandria, VA, it immediately gained viral attention for their “walking taco” chip bag concept; $10, any size bag, and they will load up the ingredients to the point where that chip bag could feed a small family.
