Poki DC will have their soft opening at Georgetown Square in Bethesda (10400 Old Georgetown Rd., next to Not Your Average Joe’s) this Friday, 2/15, according to their recent Facebook post.
This location will also offer Gongcha Bobatea!
Signage was removed a couple weeks back, but the restaurant initially stated they were just remodeling. The windows are now boarded up and the restaurant closed permanently earlier this week.
Calls to the location on Crystal Rock Drive are now being forwarded to Fox Chapel location (19733 Frederick Rd.), which will cover most of the closed location’s delivery area.
Today, approximately 10 months after their Bethesda location opened, Bethesda Beat reported that they’ll be opening their second location in MoCo when they open up in Kentlands Market Square in Gaithersburg.

This morning we have received word that another billion dollar corporation will be shutting down their Lakeforest location at some point in March.
Starbucks confirmed that they will be closing their Lakeforest location at some point between the end of this month and the end of March.
They closed a few months back and last week Store Reporter announced that Jersey Mike’s will be moving in.
We heard back from the Fallsgrove shopping center who confirmed the report and told us there’s no opening day at the time, but that it’s “probably in a couple months.”

Khyber, which will feature halal food, is coming soon to Downtown Silver Spring (904 Bonifant St.). The restaurant is taking over the old Ecology Heakth Food market location.

My contact at Montgomery Mall told me that it is not yet confirmed, but that they expect confirmation in the coming weeks.
The restaurant offers a wide variety of wines (sparkling, white, red, international, sweet red, dessert, fruit, specialties, and more) along with many other beverages and a menu that consists of beef & pork, seafood, pasta, chicken, and burgers/sandwiches.
The restaurant name means “Kingdom” in Mandingo, a language spoken throughout Gambia, Mali, and Senegal.
The restaurant serves coffee and breakfast treats in the morning, midday snacks/lunch, brunch on the weekends, and a full dinner menu. The full menu can be seen here.
