The store has been at 20 Grand Corner Ave in Rio for approximately 13 years. We were told there are no plans for this store to relocate as it had from its previous Kentlands location in the early 2000s.

There are nearby locations in Fairfax, Annapolis, and Towson.


In recognition of the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, the MoCo Pride Center will host MoCo’s first ever Pride Party on Saturday, June 29th, 2019 right in the middle of Rockville Town Square.

This pride celebration will feature all night entertainment, an unforgettable community atmosphere, food and drink vendors, and local queer organizations. Featuring performances by RuPaul’s Drag Race Superstar, Peppermint!


The Gomes family stressed that this family-run business allows everyone to get to know each other. They feel knowing people by face becomes a key to providing great customer service and always love to help with difficult beer and wine related decisions.

They’ve added some new food to the deli side of things and some of the favorites include, the meatball and pepperoni, steak and cheese, chicken bacon ranch, and BMT sandwiches as well as their new flat bread pizzas.


The local artisanal ice cream scoop shop is going to be located in the space next to Starbucks on Boardwalk Place as a summer pop-up (updated on 6/8 to reflect the pop-up status of the store).

For those unfamiliar with Moorenko’s, they earned The MoCoShow’s #1 ice cream spot in MoCo award when we released our list back in 2017.


Last night we had Gaithersburg City Councilmember Neil Harris on episode 47 of The MoCoShow and we discussed Royal Farms coming to an agreement to open their first MoCo location in Gaithersburg. Podcast available below (Royal Farms news discusses at approximately 33:20).

Neil told us that when the developer bought the property across from Gaithersburg High School where the Wawa is going, they initially considered 7-Eleven. The Gaithersburg City Council asked if it was possible to bring something new to the area “like a Wawa or Royal Farms.”
