Little Beet Table, a gluten-free restaurant, is now open in Chevy Chase.
Founded in 2014 as one of New York City’s first exclusively gluten-free restaurants, Little Beet Table, currently has other locations in New York, Chicago, and Greenwich.

Cinco De Mayo is a smaller, local chain with locations in Westminster, Columbia, Middletown, and Urbana in Maryland. They also have a West Virginia location in Martinsburg.

In May, we let you know the company was shooting for a November opening. We spoke with Mission BBQ today and were told that they now plan to open on January 13th, 2020.

MoCo Hidden Gem: 168 Asian Burrito (Olney)
MoCo has traditionally done a great job with gas station cuisine. I’m not referring to combos, energy drinks, and bubble gum– I’m talking places like Taco Bar, Corned Beef King, Seoul Food and Mangino’s (the last two are no longer located in gas stations)…Now we have 168 Asian Burrito in Olney (18000 Georgia Avenue).
Rita’s closed down for the season as they usually do, but rumors began to swirl when customers noticed the inside being gutted.
We made a couple calls, but couldn’t find out any information until the Olney Chamber of Commerce posted that Rita’s did not renew its lease and has closed permanently.
