Montgomery County Minimum Wage Increases on July 1
The latest round of minimum wage increases in Montgomery County will take effect July 1st and the minimum wage for large employers will increase to $15 an hour.

Qdoba Coming to Gaithersburg
Qdoba Mexican eats is coming to 16258 N. Frederick Ave in Gaithersburg (Shady Grove intersection).

Frank’s Burger Place is now open at 11265 Triangle Lane in Wheaton. Owner Chef Pedro Matamoros told us that he wants to bring a fresh and local burger place to the area that doesn’t cost a fortune. “We don’t want to charge $15 for a burger like the other places.”
The restaurant is currently serving burgers, dogs, chicken sandwiches, veggie burgers, and shakes. They hope to have beer on tap in the near future. They are open 11am-10pm daily and are also available on DoorDash, UberEats and Grub Hub.

New Fortune in Gaithersburg Has Reopened
New Fortune at 16515 S Frederick Ave in Gaithersburg has reopened. The restaurant had been closed for more than a year.

The Little Caesars Pizza at 13801 Outlet Dr in Briggs Chaneyhas closed. The restaurant is listed as “permanently closed” on Google and the location has been removed from the corporate website.
RanKen Noodle House Now Open in Kentlands
RanKen Noodle House is now open at 133 Commerce Square Pl in Gaithersburg. The restaurant is located in the new paseo, between Berries & Bowls and MOD pizza, at 133 Commerce Square Place.
Ledo Pizza in Rockville Reopens
Ledo Pizza at 1319H Rockville Pike has reopened under new ownership today after being closed for several months.

11/9/21 Update: We were told by representatives from HalfSmoke that they are now projecting to open at the beginning of December.
HalfSmoke was the first restaurant of its kind to serve gourmet sausages via an assembly line format. Their sausages and toppings can be fully customized to create over 50,000 variations. Their menu also features craft beer, mac and cheese balls, tater tots, milkshakes, funnel cakes, wine, cocktails, and more.
