Last year, The Comus Inn (23900 Old Hundred Rd, Dickerson) announced that it was sold and would be closing on November 26th, with new ownership taking over in December. Comus Inn reopened on Tuesday, April 16th and now the Vanish Beer/Wine Garden will join the fun when it opens on Wednesday, May 1st.
Ice Cream Jubilee, which currently has ice cream shops in Washington, DC and Arlington, VA, will be bringing an ice cream truck this summer to Gaithersburg’s Downtown Crown. (more…)
Updated to reflect five restaurants
Five Maryland restaurants were included in the New York Times’ “25 Best Restaurants in Washington D.C. Right Now” list published on Monday morning. Four of the five Maryland restaurants included can be found in Montgomery County (photos of the Montgomery County restaurants below by @MrMoCo).
The Block Food Hall, which featured “various unique Asian eateries in an upbeat community-focused setup with a bar, sports on TV, and weekend DJs nightlife,” at 967 Rose Ave in North Bethesda has closed as doors were locked with most of the space cleared out on Sunday.
The Grove, located at 7747 Tuckerman Ln. in Potomac’s Cabin John Village, has announced it will be temporarily closing on Sunday, April 28 and will be unveiling a new menu and concept on Friday, May 3. (more…)
Naz’s Halal is now open at at 522 N Frederick Ave in Gaithersburg. The restaurant is located in the space of the recently closed Halal Guys in the Gaithersburg Square shopping. (more…)
Taqueria Los Primos, which has a popular restaurant located on the 2nd floor of La Union Mall in Hyattsville MD (Prince George’s County), has opened its food truck known as TACOnMADRE at 16210 S. Frederick Ave. in Gaithersburg (first look video and full menu below).
Flipside Gastro To Go, a local food truck that served hot chicken sandwiches, burgers, wings, fries and poutine, has announced its last day in service will be Saturday, April 27.
Royal Farms made its Montgomery County debut when it opened its first MoCo location in Gaithersburg in 2022. Now, the convenience store popular for its fried chicken, is moving forward with its planned Silver Spring location, according to a report by Source of the Spring.
