These build your own bowl restaurants span a wide variety of different cultures and cuisines, but one that you don’t see get a ton of representation is Caribbean/West African. Spiced Black in Upper Marlboro, MD is changing that with salads and bowls that take inspiration from southern soul food, Caribbean ingredients and West African flavors.
McAlister’s Deli is officially open, with hundreds of people turning out for today’s grand opening celebration, according to the Town of Mount Airy. The new restaurant is located at 301 E. Ridgeville Blvd. in Mount Airy.

A unique new destination for coffee lovers has arrived in Montgomery County, as Cafecito is now open inside the new Whip Clean Car Wash at the Festival at Muddy Branch shopping center in Gaithersburg. A preview video can be seen below.
Kareem’s Lebanese Kitchen is hiring as it prepares to open its first Washington metropolitan area location at 212 Boardwalk Place in Rio. While an exact opening date has not yet been announced, the restaurant is targeting an August debut. Exterior and interior construction both appear to be nearing completion.
Buffalo Wild Wings GO is continuing its rapid expansion in Montgomery County, with plans to open a fifth location at 4611 Sangamore Rd., Suite C, in the Shops at Sumner Place in Bethesda, according to leasing documents and signage on the windows.
