Wine Enthusiast has named the Chef’s Counter at Burnt Hill Farm in Clarksburg (25001 Burnt Hill Rd.) one of the Best Winery Restaurants in the World, placing the Montgomery County destination alongside just 56 other winery restaurants worldwide. The list includes only 13 restaurants in the United States (video of the experience available below).
Beer Trade Co., the craft beer concept founded by Montgomery County native Chris Sanchez in Florida, has officially opened its first Maryland location in Laytonsville, bringing a unique craft beer experience and a menu that is already generating positive reviews (preview video below).
Shah’s Halal is now open in Downtown Silver Spring, according to Source of the Spring. The restaurant has opened at 8517 Colesville Road, taking over the former Jerry’s Subs & Pizza space. Jerry’s permanently closed its final Montgomery County location in January 2025 after serving the community for years.

Customers lined up outside Inferno Pizzeria Napoletana in Gaithersburg on Father’s Day for a one-day collaboration featuring fried chicken sandwiches and doughnuts instead of the restaurant’s usual award-winning Neapolitan pizza. The demand was enough to sell out the entire menu in about an hour (video of the sandwiches and doughnuts can be seen below).
A new destination for wing lovers is coming to Rockville. Wing Pop, a new concept from the Ivea Group, is under construction at 1701 Rockville Pike in the Shops at Congressional Village shopping center. The restaurant will take over the former Gyroland space, next to Okaeri and Meow Claw.
