Construction is picking up at the upcoming Slurp Noodles at Twinbrook Quarter in Rockville. While an opening date has not yet been announced, progress at the space suggests the restaurant could open by the end of the year.

Miss Toya’s Southern Kitchen has permanently closed its location at Rio in Gaithersburg. A sign posted at the restaurant thanks guests and team members who made the Gaithersburg location part of the community and directs customers to the company’s nearby Miss Toya’s Creole House at 923 Ellsworth Dr in Downtown Silver Spring.
Wayback Burgers is still planning to open its first Montgomery County location in Damascus, but the restaurant’s anticipated opening has been delayed. (more…)

Doughboys Pizza is now open at 15410 New Hampshire Ave. in Cloverly, taking over the former Bear Brick Oven Pizza and Greek Islands Grill space. The restaurant opened Tuesday with a soft opening from 12pm-8pm. The MoCoShow’s own “Mr. MoCo” Alex Tsironis stopped by to support the new locally owned restaurant.
