Clear Skies Meadery, located at 325 Main Street in the Kentlands, is preparing for its soft opening in just a few days and we had the opportunity to stop by and check it out.
Clear Skies Meadery will have it’s soft opening on March 13-15 (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) from 5pm-8pm) and every Friday, Saturday, Sunday at 5-8pm for now, until the grand opening on Friday, April 3rd at 5pm (ribbon cutting ceremony at 3pm). Days are subject to change, so make sure to give them a follow to remain updated.

BREAKING: We’ve just been told that Gordon Biersch in Rockville Town Square has closed permanently.
At the moment, we don’t have any further information, but we were told that employees were informed just a couple hours ago.
South House Garden is Coming to Olde Towne Gaithersburg.
According to a sponsored post on Facebook, South House Garden is a beer garden, southern eatery and sports bar combined. It will offer games like pool, beer pong, darts, and live music.

We stopped by Gentleman Jim’s to clear up a few rumors that were swirling a couple months back.
Due to a “for sale/lease” sign on a nearby building, a couple folks reached out to ask us if Gentleman Jim’s would be affected. We were told it would not and that the restaurant is doing better than ever.
Back in November we reported that Olney Crab House was coming soon to the location that used to be home to The Olney Tavern (18200 Georgia Avenue).
Since then, we’ve received many questions regarding the location since “for lease” signs were placed back on the building.
Last summer we reported that Ema Rossi Pizzeria Napoletana would be moving in to the old Pizza Hut location in the Rock Creek Village Center (5556 Norbeck Rd).
Pizza Hut closed back in April and the remained vacant for a few months, but the space was quickly snatched up and permanent signage went up a few weeks back.
It has been nearly two years since we announced Cinnaholic’s impending arrival to Downtown Crown in Gaithersburg.
The bakery, known for its 100% vegan custom cinnamon rolls, has made some progress and expects to open this March or April.

Big Wang’s Cuisine Expands, Now Wang Manor
It has been nearly two years since signage went up for Wang Manor in Derwood (16051 Frederick Road). After a few bumps in the road, Big Wang’s expansion is finally complete as Wang Manor is now officially open.

Yesterday we were able to stop by Downtown Silver Spring’s newest spot, The Eleanor, for a sneak peek of what’s to come when it opens this Monday, 2/24/20.
The Eleanor is described as “the neighborhood arcade & bowling lounge that serves honest, handmade food and local beers, craft cocktails, and great wines.“

Brews & Barrels has soft opened in the Kentlands.The Kentlands newest restaurant offers American fare, including crab cakes, various salads, burgers, sandwiches, and more.
At the bar, whiskey and beer are featured prominently, but they carry spirits in every category. Brews & Barrels offer many whiskeys and craft beers from the US and across the world. From now until their grand opening on Monday, February 17th, the restaurant will be open from 5pm until 11pm.
