Reader Chase Carter was able to send us some photos of the restaurant and it looks like it may take a while before the restaurant is serving Pizza again.
There is no time table for when the renovations will be completed, but it certainly looks like a long process before this location is up and running.
The once-thriving local pizza chain is now down to one location– Rockville (190 Halpine Rd).
Bobapop offers “bubble tea reimagined” according to their website. They plan to open in mid-August in Main Street in the Kentlands (directly across from the new Yoyogi location).
Nirvana Indian Cuisine (3474 Olney Laytonsville Rd.) has been “coming soon” for a while, but Bethesda Beat has reported that the restaurant will open on July 5th.
The owner, Kalistus Gomes, owned Bombay Gaylord in Silver Spring. As many of you remember, a fire damaged the restaurant over three years ago and also caused enough damage for Quarry House Tavern to close. Quarry House has since re-opened.
According to Eater DC, the restaurant offers “assorted salads (Caesar; mixed beet; grilled chicken), sandwiches (portobello mushroom with pesto goat cheese; grass fed steak with chimichurri aioli), and build-your-own entrees composed of core offerings (habanero-mango ribs: baked salmon with honey-mustard sauce; turkey meatloaf with barbecue sauce). Carry-out family meals designed to serve four people (starting at $48) include one main, two large sides, and grilled bread.”
”There was an accident ( a car from a public parking side hit the store wall) and caused structural damage to the building. Under the county law it is unsafe for us to reopen until the necessary repairs are done. At this time it is unknown how long.”
These will be held on Bethesda Lane (across from the Apple store) and will offer:

In addition to the 300 free meals on opening day, this location will be participating in “Military Monday”, which gives active duty members of the military 50% off on Mondays and 25% on any other day with military ID. We were told the official Cafe Rio app offers great deals on a daily basis that includes great deals/offers multiple times a week. They’ll also be making a $2500 donation to Montgomery County Public Schools!

Lets start with Viva Japanese Steakhouse. Not only will the restaurant have hibachi-style grills, but they’ll also have a sushi bar and Asian-style fusion dishes. They’ll be opening later this summer, right outside of ArcLight Cinemas.
The next Girl Power event will be held on July 14th at Bethesda Crossing in Bethesda, MD.
