Montgomery Parks is preparing to welcome visitors back to one of the county’s most beloved holiday traditions. The annual Garden of Lights display at Brookside Gardens in Wheaton will open for the season on Friday, November 21, 2025, at 5 p.m. Tickets go on sale Monday, October 13, 2025, at 10 a.m., and will be available online only at GardenofLights.org.

Rockville’s outdoor ice rink at The Square is set to reopen for the season on Sunday, October 19, 2025, bringing back one of the area’s most popular cold-weather attractions. Located at 131 Gibbs Street in Rockville Town Square, the open-air rink anchors the plaza with seasonal skating, lessons, and special events through the winter months.
The Montgomery County Council will hold its annual Youth Town Hall on Wednesday, Nov. 5 at 7 p.m. at the Council Office Building in Rockville, giving students an opportunity to share their views and concerns directly with Councilmembers.
