12:54pm Update: Officers are clearing the school and @MCPS has changed Kennedy HS to a Hold status as officers wrap up.
The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) shared at 12:15pm that Kennedy High School in Silver Spring was placed on ‘Hold’ status after a report of a firearm. According to policed no weapon was seen upon investigation.

Governor Wes Moore and Arnold Ventures announced $20 million in new grants through the Maryland Partnership for Proven Programs to expand community college and mentoring initiatives, aiming to support more than 3,000 youth and students across the state.
