The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) is investigating an armed robbery that occurred at approximately 7am on June 5 at an Exxon located in the 11400 block in Rockville Pike, where a suspect displayed a handgun, stole cash and property, and fled the scene.

Kidcreate Studio is opening a location at 12121 Darnestown Rd. in the Shops at Potomac Valley shopping center in Gaithersburg. The location was previously home to Sun + Skin before signage for a Wayback Burger location went up in 2022– a location that did not end up opening.

Montgomery Parks has announced the opening of three new playgrounds this spring at parks in Silver Spring, Wheaton, and Olney. The newly renovated playgrounds are located at Indian Spring Terrace Local Park, Olney Mill Neighborhood Park, and Valleywood Neighborhood Park. All of the playgrounds include equipment for kids aged 2- 5 and 5 – 12.
