TSA officers at Reagan National Airport stopped a Virginia man on June 8 after detecting a loaded handgun with 16 bullets in his carry-on bag, a violation that can result in significant civil penalties and loss of TSA privileges.
Governor Wes Moore announced $6.95 million in Build Our Future grants awarded to 10 projects across Maryland aimed at strengthening innovation infrastructure in key sectors such as life sciences, clean tech, cybersecurity, and agriculture. The Maryland Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force participated in a national initiative, “Operation Safe Online Summer,” resulting in 595 investigations, 41 arrests, and the rescue of 17 child victims. The task force urges the public, especially parents and seniors, to remain vigilant about online safety and continues to provide education, outreach, and investigative support to combat internet-based crimes and child exploitation.
