Earlier this month, permanent signage was installed for Maryland’s first Hey Tea at 891-F Rockville Pike in Wintergreen Plaza. Our friend @pike.and.rozay mentioned that the Tysons Corner location has experienced lines stretching around the corner for nearly two months since opening in February– though they’ve gotten smaller in recent weeks.

Last month, Waymo announced that its fully autonomous ride-hailing service (a driverless taxi), Waymo One, will be available to riders in Washington, D.C. starting in 2026. Now, Popville reports there has been reports of “more Waymos spotted around town.” A video of the experience can be seen below.

The 2025 NFL Draft has concluded. Despite the Washington Commanders having only five picks– a consequence of last season’s and this offseason’s trades for Marshon Lattimore, Deebo Samuel, and Laremy Tunsil– ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr. was full of praise for the team (see video below).

Montgomery Village, MD native and University of Maryland standout Kaden Prather was drafted with the 24th pick in the 7th round of the 2025 NFL Draft by the Buffalo Bills. The Terrapins wide receiver, a product of Germantown’s Northwest High School, brings a decorated college resume and hometown pride to the Buffalo.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested Brayan Eleazar Angulo-Barrios, a 26-year-old Salvadoran national and alleged 18th Street gang member, in Hyattsville, Maryland, on April 22, 2024, after previous arrests and convictions in Prince George’s County and Montgomery County for gun and drug offenses.
