In October, we reported that the Big Lots at 20926 Frederick Rd in the Milestone Shopping Center, Germantown, would be permanently closing. It now appears that the Montgomery Village Center location, along with the chain’s remaining 900+ stores, will also close.
Dirty Dough is now open at 36B Maryland Ave in Rockville Town Square. The cookie and dessert shop is located in the space that was the longtime home of Berry Cup, which closed in the summer of 2022. We have a first look video available below

New Balance is set to open a new store on Arlington Rd in Bethesda (Bethesda Row), according to a report by Robert Dyer, which was confirmed by the Federal Realty website. The store will be located on Arlington Rd. next to Uncle Julio’s.
Restoration Hardware is opening its first RH Outlet location at 1519 Rockville Pike in the location that was previously home to the Rockville Bed Bath & Beyond and most recently home to a seasonal Spirit Halloween Shop in Congressional North Plaza.
Additional tenants have been announced for North Pointe at Flower Hill, a new 16,000-square-foot retail and restaurant center at 18251 Flower Hill Way in Gaithersburg. Located behind Gentleman Jim’s—one of the sister properties to this project and other Flower Hill developments—North Pointe is set to bring an exciting mix of dining and service options to the area. Back in May we let you know that Dirty Dough is coming to 36B Maryland Ave in Rockville Town Square. The cookie shop will be taking over the location that was the longtime home of Berry Cup, which closed in the summer of 2022. Dirty Dough made an appearance as a vendor at Rockville Town Square’s tree lighting event and let us know at they are aiming for a Wednesday, December 18th opening.
