Montgomery County ABS (Formerly DLC) Releases Beer for 70th Anniversary
The Montgomery County Department of Alcohol Beverage Services is celebrating its 70th anniversary today, July 1, 2021, and has announced the release of a special IPA to mark the occasion.
Opening Date For New Rio Playground Announced
The new playground at Rio will be opening on Wednesday, July 7th. According to Rio, the 8500 sq. ft open-air playground features slides, a rotating climber, sensory play, an ADA -accessible surface, and shade pavilions to keep kids cool while they play.

The latest round of minimum wage increases in Montgomery County will take effect July 1st and the minimum wage for large employers will increase to $15 an hour.

Yesterday we reported that Kobe Japan Hibachi And Sushi is coming to the Hampshire-Langley Shopping Center at 1163 University Blvd E in Takoma Park, according to the restaurants website. Today we can confirm that Kobe Japan is also coming to the newly redeveloped Montgomery Village Shopping Center.
According to the sitemap on the klnb Commercial Real Estate website, Kobe Japan will be located next to Moe’s SouthwestGrill in the shopping center.
