Construction may be underway at the Glenwood Shopping Center in Wheaton (12134 Georgia Ave.), but Trippy Tacos and its neighboring businesses are still open for customers. The shopping center is home to Trippy Tacos, Dunkin’, Seafood in the Buff, and Maria’s Hair Salon and continue to operate as renovations move forward.
Montgomery County Police have arrested 58-year-old Melesse Semegne of Silver Spring and charged him in connection with a sexual assault investigation. Detectives with the Special Victims Investigations Division believe there may be additional victims and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
A federal judge has sentenced 21-year-old Erik Lee Madison of Halethorpe, Maryland, to 30 years in prison followed by lifetime supervised release for sexually exploiting minors and cyberstalking. U.S. District Judge Matthew J. Maddox also ordered Madison to pay $3,000 in restitution. According to federal prosecutors, Madison sexually exploited at least 10 minor female victims. (more…)
