MINISO, a Japanese themed novelty store, has opened on the first floor of Montgomery Mall (7101 Democracy Blvd) next to Macy’s.
According to Westfield Montgomery, “MINISO is a Japan-based, designer brand that places value on their quality, simplistic design, and low price. The global brand operates in over 40 countries, and has over 1,800 stores across the globe. Following their fast-fashion style, the company also launches new products every week – keeping up with trends. It’Sugar, which closed its Rockville location in January, will be coming to Montgomery Mall later this year. The trendy candy store specializes in innovative sweets, fun novelty gifts, and giant candy.
Shake Shack Coming to Montgomery Mall
“Opening Soon” signage is up at Westfield Montgomery for Shake Shack. Last week we reported that Shake Shack hopes to open three new MoCo locations by the end of 2022.
AMC in Talks With Arclight Landlords

Lolli & Pops in Montgomery Mall Closes
We can confirm that candy and gift store Lolli & Pops closed its location in Montgomery Mall earlier this month.
Patisserie Manuel in Montgomery Mall to Close on March 28th
French Bakery Patisserie Manuel, located inside of the Montgomery Mall food court, announced on social media Friday that they will be permanently closing on Sunday, March 28th.
Montgomery & Wheaton Mall Openings
Food courts are back open in Montgomery County. Montgomery Mall has opened theirs up at 25% capacity while Wheaton Mall has theirs open at 50% capacity. In February, Montgomery Mall had turned a portion of its outdoor garage into an “enchanted forest dining area” to provide a space for shoppers to dine.
