On June 29, at approximately 4:43 pm, Takoma Park Police responded to the 900 block of Anne Street for the report of a residential burglary.

According to Takoma Park Police, “Between 9:10 am and 4:43 pm two unknown suspects broke into the victim’s residence by forcing open a rear basement door.  Property was stolen.  Home video surveillance captured the suspects:


In December we let you know that Nash & Smash, a restaurant that serves Nashville hot chicken sandwiches, fried chicken, smash burgers, and more, is coming soon to MoCo. Construction began this spring and now permanent signage is up at the restaurant, according to a photo sent in to us by My Dad’s Chips (who was making a delivery at nearby Santucci’s Deli).

According to the Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office, “Today in the Circuit Court for Montgomery County, MD, the Honorable Debbie Dwyer sentenced defendant, Michael Boyd Jr., 40, of Olney, to 90 years in prison suspend all but 55 years to serve and five years of supervised probation upon release.
