Maryland Attorney General Anthony G. Brown announced a settlement with multiple Lindsay automotive dealerships, including Lindsay Ford of Wheaton, resolving civil charges filed by the state’s Consumer Protection Division in coordination with the Federal Trade Commission.

“Coming soon” signage is now up at Westfield Wheaton, where Round1 Bowling & Arcade is preparing to open a massive 49,000-square-foot entertainment complex, bringing one of the country’s fastest-growing arcade and bowling concepts to Montgomery County. Vendor applications are now open for one of Wheaton’s most anticipated community events of the year. Organizers have announced that applications are now being accepted for the 2026 Taste of Wheaton: Maryland’s Culinary & Culture Festival, which will take place on Sunday, June 7 at Marian Fryer Town Plaza.

Detectives with the Montgomery County Department of Police are asking for the public’s help identifying several suspects connected to a first-degree assault that occurred February 4 at Wheaton Mall. Police said the incident happened at approximately 12 pm when the victim entered a restroom inside the mall.

Organizers of the Wheaton Arts Parade are seeking temporary storage space for the large art floats used in the event after learning the sculptures must be moved from their current location by April 1. The floats currently do not have a new storage location, though the parade is scheduled to take place in September during what organizers say will be the event’s 10th anniversary year. (more…)


Brookside Nature Center in Wheaton is adjusting its schedule this spring and summer as Montgomery Parks completes several major improvements to the facility. Brookside Nature Center is managed separately from Brookside Gardens.  Brookside Gardens’ hours are not affected by closings at the Nature Center.
