The Maryland Transportation Authority is replacing the deck on the Bay Bridge. This portion of Phase 1 deck replacement recently began with anticipated completion by spring 2025.

AECOM announced earlier this month that an AECOM-led joint venture with Jacobs has been selected by Amtrak to serve as delivery partner for the $6 billion Frederick Douglass Tunnel Program that will upgrade a ten-mile section of the Northeast Corridor (NEC), America’s busiest passenger rail line.
Frederick County Fire and Rescue responded to a report of a vehicle fire and found a tractor-trailer fully engulfed when they arrived at the scene of I-270 South past Exit 26 MD 80.

The Montgomery County Office of Emergency Management & Homeland Security (OEMHS) issued the following alert at 6:44am on Tuesday, April 2: “Overturned tractor trailer blocks the left two lanes of the Inner Loop of I-495 just before Exit 39 (River Rd/MD 190). The Gaithersburg Department of Public Works announced that road construction will be performed on Summit Avenue at East Diamond Avenue. The work is anticipated to begin on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, weather permitting.
