As the holiday season approaches, a heartwarming story has emerged from the Clarksburg and Damascus areas, showcasing the incredible bond between local schools and their communities. Last week we let you know that Regal Germantown (20000 Century Blvd) would be closing permanently on December 1st. The location is now closed and has been removed from the Regal website, but the community had plenty to say as they recalled their experiences over the last 20+ years at the theater.

This past summer we let you know that Realty Income Corporation is looking to sell its 7-acre property at 20000 Century Blvd in Germantown, which is currently home to the Regal Germantown movie theater. An employee at the theater has confirmed that Regal will close its Germantown location permanently on Sunday, December 1st. Rockville and Silver Spring locations will continue to operate normally.

The Clarksburg High School Ambassadors leadership club raised over $2,000 to provide 60 Thanksgiving dinners for families in need at Clarksburg High School and Rocky Hill Middle School. A 22-year-old Gaithersburg man has been charged with criminally negligent manslaughter after striking and killing bicyclist in a high-speed collision on August 30, 2023, on Frederick Rd, where Flores was found to be traveling at 72 mph in a 40-mph zone.
