Construction progresses at Neelsville Middle School, located at 11700 Neelsville Church Rd in Germantown. The project, which includes a brand new school building, is expected to be completed by August with students beginning in the new school building next school year (photo above and below).
Cloppers Barber Shop, located at 18060 Mateny Rd. in Germantown’s Cloppers Mill Village shopping center, will be closing by the end of February.

Students in the Montgomery County Students Automotive Trades Foundation (ATF) and Information Technology Foundation (ITF) will sell used cars and computers they have refurbished from 9-11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 24, at Damascus High School. Hope Grows Child Development Center has opened its third location in the Montgomery County, Maryland region. Founded and owned by Salema Horn, the group signed a lease with Fox Chapel, LLC for 10,803 square feet of space within the 115,000 square foot neighborhood shopping center positioned at 19721 North Frederick Road in Germantown about a year back. It is now open.
