Andrew Einsmann has officially declared his candidacy and will be on the ballot for Montgomery County Council Seat in the newly formed District 7.  Andrew has lived in the county for over 20 years- with the majority of those years in this new district.  

The newly formed 7th district is an upcounty district bordered on the south by Derwood and the Shady Grove Metro. It spans east to include Ashton, Sandy Spring and Olney.  It goes West to Montgomery Village and then traverses north through Damascus all the way to the county line.  A large portion of this district is the Agricultural Reserve.


Aspen Hill

Dr. Cavena J. Griffith was appointed as Principal at the upcoming Gaithersburg Elementary School #8. She is currently the principal intern at Whetstone Elementary School.

Construction has continued to progress at the site of the new Gaithersburg elementary school that will be located at Kelley Park.

Construction of Pleasant View Park, the 28th park in the City of Gaithersburg’s inventory, started back in November 2021. The 9.54-acre park is located at the former Consumer Product Safety Commission site on Rt. 28. (10901 Darnestown Road). A 16-month construction period is anticipated, with completion in February 2023. Work will continue through the winter months, weather permitting.
