We let you know back in November that Jongro BBQ, a popular New York Korean BBQ restaurant, is opening up shop at Wheaton Mall. The latest update we have received from Westfield Wheaton is that the restaurant is expected to open in January, 2022.
The restaurant is known for its wide variety of cuts that are not found in most other Korean restaurants. According to their website, their “beef and pork are produced with only natural feeds.”
Friendship BBQ, at 33 E Maryland Ave in Rockville Town Square has posted a hand-written sign on the door stating they are closed.
We are told that it is a “temporary suspension of operations.”

MCDOT outreach teams will be at several Flash stations on Oct. 14 to greet riders, solicit feedback about the service and distribute Flash anniversary items to riders.
