Chase Young suffered a season ending injury earlier this year and Montez Sweat was dealing with a broken jaw that landed him on injured reserve. There was hope he’d be available to play prior to being placed on the Covid-19 list earlier this week.

ANNAPOLIS, MD—Governor Larry Hogan today announced that the State of Maryland is immediately authorizing COVID-19 Pfizer booster shots for all 16- and 17-year-olds in Maryland. This action aligns with recommendations by both the FDA and the CDC. State health officials continue to strongly recommend that all eligible Marylanders get booster shots in order to maintain immunity against severe COVID-19.

Gaithersburg Based Novavax Could Start Making Omicron-Specific COVID-19 Vaccine By January

Gaithersburg based Novavax announced that today that they could begin commercial manufacturing of a COVID-19 vaccine for the Omicron coronavirus variant by January of 2022. Novavax is currently testing whether or not its current vaccine works against the Omicron variant.
