MoCo officials officially launched the County’s first four Ride On electric buses with a ceremonial “unplug” event.

Following the event, the media will have an opportunity to speak with the officials and get video inside the buses and at other designated areas of the maintenance and transit operations facility including bus sanitizing demonstrations and sneak peak of new Flash buses.

Park visitors will find “Picnic in the Park” signs that allow them to scan a QR code which directs them to the MoCo Eats website.

Nearby restaurants will populate based on location, users can then contact the restaurant directly by visiting their website or calling to place an order. Designated delivery zones allow visitors to meet the driver. Physical distancing circles will be available at selected parks.


MoCo Police

Tomorrow (June 1) at 6 PM, the City of Takoma Park will host a moment of reflection and a call to action event.  This event will feature several Takoma Park leaders and activists, acting as “a united front, [to] take a public stance against racism.”  The event will be held via radio broadcast on Takoma Park Radio Station 94.3 FM.
