Crews continue the emergency water main repairs in Silver Spring. The damaged piece of 36-inch in diameter pipe has been cut and taken out to prepare for a new section of pipe. Indoor Mask Mandate Reinstated in Montgomery County, Takes Effect 12:01am Saturday
Today the Montgomery County Council, acting as the Board of Health, voted unanimously to reinstate the indoor mask mandate beginning Saturday just after midnight. Based on CDC guidelines, Montgomery County is now considered an area of substantial COVID-19 transmission.

Helen Louise Maroulis is a Rockville-born freestyle wrestler who competes in the women’s 55-kg 53-kg and 57-kg categories. She was the first-ever American to win a gold medal in women’s freestyle wrestling back at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.
