Gaithersburg and Silver Spring both cracked the top ten of Wallethub’s “2021 Most & Least Diverse Cities in the U.S.” list again this year. Some will note that Silver Spring and other areas included in the list aren’t technically cities, but many areas listed are census designated places. Germantown comes in just outside of the top ten at 12, while Rockville comes in at 34.

Earlier this year, Wallethub released their “2021’s Most & Least Ethnically Diverse Cities in the U.S.” list and Montgomery County also had a strong showing there, but it is unclear as to what changed the rankings in the last few months (Gaithersburg, Germantown, Silver Spring, and Rockville all came in the top seven on that list). WalletHub is a personal finance website that branched into producing research reports and surveys on topics with varying degrees of relevance to personal finance.
