British company Cineworld, which owns Regal Cinemas in the United States, said it would temporarily close all 663 of its movie theaters in the United States and Britain, in a move that is expected to affect 40,000 employees in the United States.

Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich, after consultation with County Health Officer Dr. Travis Gayles, has issued an updated executive order that allows food service establishments to serve alcohol after 10 p.m.
Popeyes is Coming to Downtown Silver Spring
Popeyes will be taking over the space that was left vacant by Bombay Gaylord in 2015 after a fire destroyed the restaurant. The owners of Bombay Gaylord opened Nirvana Indian Cuisine in Olney in late 2018.

MoCo Council Approves Legislation Banning Balloon Releases
Per Montgomery County:
Aldi has announced that the grand opening of its Cherry Hill Rd. location will be on October 15th. We stopped by yesterday and things looked great and nearly ready to go.
The German discount grocery store is located at the over old Babies R Us location next to PetSmart. It will be the second grocery store in the shopping centers (ShopRite is currently there). Very nearby, a medical imaging center will be joining the shopping center when it takes over the old Staples location.
