An accident involving a delivery truck on Connecticut Avenue & Georgia Avenue in Aspen Hill required significant clean up effort.
The accident occurred around 9am. There were two occupants in the vehicle– one was trapped & extricated. Both occupants were transported to the hospital.
Two Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) food and nutrition services staff members working at the Glen Haven Elementary School meal distribution site in Wheaton have reported positive tests of Covid-19 (photos 1 and 2)
In addition, there have been two confirmed cases of COVID-19 at the Asbury Methodist Village in Gaithersburg (photo 3).
Manhattan Pizza will be taking over the Pizza 500 location in Clarksburg (23222 Stringtown Rd.).
Manhattan Pizza is a local chain with a dozen locations in the DMV (mainly Virginia with two locations in Frederick County).
The closure of all Maryland public schools has been extended until Friday, April 24th, per Maryland state superintendent Karen Salmon.

A fourth Maryland resident has died as a result of COVID-19. A Prince George’s County man in his 60s who suffered from underlying medical conditions, per the Maryland Department of Health.

An employee at Whetstone Elementary School in Montgomery Village has tested positive for COVID-19 (coronavirus).
