Fair Hill Shopping Center Splash Pads Likely to Open in July
We spoke with a representative from the Fair Hill shopping center in Olney this afternoon and we’re told that they’re working hard to open at some point in July, pending a passed inspection.
Fair Hill had previously told us that the splash pads would not open this summer (article from 5/24 can be seen below).
Fair Hill Splash Will Not Open This Summer
We have been told by various sources within the Fair Hill shopping center in Olney that the splash pads between Harris Teeter and Grillmarx will not be turned on this year.
The reasons we were provided with were a combination of the pandemic and a chlorine shortage that could impact pools across the nation.
Fair Hill confirmed the sad news for many in the Olney community and let us know that they’ll update us if anything changes.
In good news for the shopping center, Playaj Bowls is opening on Sunday, 6/6 at the Baskin Robbins spot in Fair Hill with its third MoCo location (Potomac and Kensington).
