Have you ever wondered who would win a one-on-one matchup between your high school’s all-time leading scorer and that one player who went D1 that dropped 38 points in the playoff game?

MoCo resident Jonathan Mensah has created a platform to not only answer that question, but also let you watch the games in person or through Instagram. Mensah grew up in Gaithersburg and later attended Richard Montgomery High School (class of 2010) and Montgomery College, where he also played basketball.

Rockville’s Helen Louise Maroulis Becomes The First American Woman to Win Two Olympic Medals in Wrestling

Helen Louise Maroulis is a Rockville-born freestyle wrestler who competes in the women’s 55-kg 53-kg and 57-kg categories. She was the first-ever American to win a gold medal in women’s freestyle wrestling back at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.

Beyond MoCo: Washington Football Team Among Teams With Lowest COVID-19 Vaccination Rates

The Associated Press reported Friday that the Washington Football Team, along with the Indianapolis Colts, “had the two lowest COVID-19 vaccination rates among the 32 teams in the league, according to the person who spoke to the AP on condition of anonymity because the league hasn’t released the numbers, which are changing daily.”
