Plaza Oaxaca to Take Over the Old La Tasca Location in Rockville Town Square
Plaza Oaxaca will open early next year at Rockville Town Square in Rockville, MD. The 4,500-square-foot restaurant will feature authentic Mexican fare and hand-crafted cocktails.
Plaza Oaxaca will be the first restaurant in Rockville for co-owner’s Cecilia Pastor and Maria Barragan who are originally from Oaxaca, Mexico.
The duo plans to bring authentic Mexican cuisine to Rockville through their traditional food and, once safe to do so, by hosting live music and dance nights.
The restaurant will take over the location formerly occupied by La Tasca, which announced a permanent closure back in May.
There is no relation to Casa Oaxaca in Bethesda.
Potomac Local reports that mega gas station/convenience store Buc-ee’s is looking to open its first location in the Greater Washington area.
