Pho Viet USA to Take Over Faryab Afghan Cuisine Location in Bethesda
Pho Viet USA, a Vietnamese restaurant with 3 locations throughout Washington DC and 1 at the Inner Harbor in Baltimore, is coming to Bethesda.
The restaurant will be taking over the location that was home to Faryab Afghan Cuisine at 4917 Cordell Ave:
Faryab opened in 1997 and closed in 2015 after 18 years of serving Bethesda. The restaurant reopened in early 2017 after being closed for over a year and then closed permanently in February of 2020.
In addition to pho, Pho Viet USA offers traditional Vietnamese cuisine. Some locations serve Banh Mi, but it’s unclear whether the Bethesda location will do so at this time.
Bubble tea will also be on the menu at Pho Viet USA, as they offer a variety of Boba tea at the restaurant.
They currently have a hearing for their alcoholic beverage license set for May 6th, per the sign on the door. No opening date is available yet.
Potomac Local reports that mega gas station/convenience store Buc-ee’s is looking to open its first location in the Greater Washington area.
