Detectives Investigate Double Shooting in Silver Spring; An Adult Male Victim listed in Critical Condition

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police–3rd District Investigative Section are investigating two shootings that occurred in the early morning hours of October 16th and October 17th in the 8300 block of Fenton Street. Detectives believe the two incidents are related.

On Saturday, October 16th, at approximately 3:30 a.m., officers responded to the 8300 block of Fenton Street for the reports of multiple gunshots fired. Officers arrived at the scene and determined that several residences, businesses, and vehicles were struck by numerous rounds of ammunition. During this incident, no one was injured.

On Sunday, October 17th, at approximately 3:20 a.m., officers responded to the 8300 block of Fenton Street for the report of an individual suffering from gunshot wounds. Upon arrival at the scene, officers located a 35-year-old male victim from Silver Spring, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Officers initiated lifesaving measures on the victim until Montgomery County Fire and Rescue personnel arrived at the scene. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he is listed in critical condition.

Detectives are asking those homeowners and business owners in the area who have not already reviewed their surveillance camera footage from that morning, to please do so and to contact them if their cameras captured anything pertinent to this investigation.

Anyone with information about these two shootings or the suspect(s) involved, is asked to contact the 3rd District Investigative Section at 240-773-6870. This remains an ongoing investigation.
