Today in District Court, defendant James Ryan, 48, of Clarksburg, was ordered held without bond, according to the Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office.
Ryan was arrested yesterday and charged with second-degree murder in connection with the death his of 25-year-old girlfriend, Sarah Harris.

The Hello Kitty Cafe Truck, a traveling food truck selling Hello Kitty-themed treats, will be returning to Bethesda on Saturday, April 2nd.
The truck will parked on the corner of Elm and Woodmont from 10am-7pm.

After 36.5 years, legendary local meteorologist Sue Palka will give her final weather report tonight on FOX 5. “We know you don’t like it when we “disappear” so that’s why we’re giving you this heads up. My last day will be March 23, so I’m going to help get you through the winter,” Sue said during the initial announcement of her retirement.
Fox 5’s Chief Meteorologist began her career in Richmond in 1983 before being hired by Fox 5 in 1985– and place she has remained for over three and a half decades. “Maury Povich and James Adams anchored our only newscast at 10 pm and Ronald Reagan was the President. I’ve been here so long I’ve seen the Brood X cicadas emerge three times!” said Palka in the announcement from Fox 5.
Pepco has provided $650,000 to five local community colleges and historically Black colleges and universities (HBCU), including our very own Montgomery College.
The donation is to support local scholarships, teacher training and the development of curriculum geared toward educating the next generation of the energy workforce. The funding builds on $400,000 in grants provided as part of Pepco’s Community Scholars Program during the 2020-2021 academic year to support students across the company’s service area struggling to continue their education due to the impacts of the pandemic.
“I am here today to enthusiastically and 100% throw my strong endorsement behind your next governor, Kelly Schulz” proclaimed current Maryland Governor Larry Hogan. He made the announcement at an event for Schulz in Annapolis.
Hogan, who is term-limited, endorsed Republican gubernatorial candidate Kelly Schulz. Schulz announced in April 2021 that she would seek the Republican nomination for Governor of Maryland in 2022.

Daleep Singh has been one of the chief architects behind economic sanctions imposed by the Biden Administration on Russia, after the Russian invasion of Ukraine began in late February 2022.
Singh was born in Olney, Maryland and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. Not much else is known about his time in Maryland.
