MoCoShow High School Football Week 1 Top 10 (MCPS)

1. (LW 1) Quince Orchard: The Cougars shutout South County from Virginia 33-0.  Running Back Iverson Howard ran for 2 Touchdowns in the victory.  Quince Orchard will host Gaithersburg this Friday.

2. (LW 2) Damascus: The Swarmin’ Hornets defeated Einstein 44-12. As a team Damascus rushed for 191 yards and 4 Touchdowns. Damascus will travel to the Black Hole in Germantown to take on Northwest in the MoCoShow Game of the Week!

3. (LW 3) Northwest: The Jaguars shutout Watkins Mill 47-0. Quarterback David Davis passed for 160 yards and 4Tds in the win. Northwest will host Damascus in the MoCoShow Game of the Week!

4. (LW 4) Churchill: The Bulldogs showed some serious bite taking down Seneca Valley 27-7. Villanova commit David Avit ran for 265 yards and 3 touchdowns in the victory.  Sherwood will host BCC on Friday.

5. (LW 5) Sherwood: The Warriors defeated Rockville 34-14.  Running Back Van Mahoney rushed for 197 yards and 2 TD’s in the win. Sherwood will host Paint Branch next.

6. (LW 6) Paint Branch: The Panthers blew out Northwood 84-0.  Quarterback Christopher Kriz passed for 131 yards and 4 touchdowns.  Paint Branch will travel to Olney on Friday to take on Sherwood.

7. (LW 8) Walter Johnson: The Wildcats too won te 1st leg of the Congressional Cup, downing BCC 21-14.  Quarterback Carlie Blessing threw for 124 yards and 1 TD. Walter Johnson will host Richard Montgomery next.

8. (LW 9) Blake: The Bengals beat Whitman 42-0.  Running Back Jerimiah Seaton rushed for 96 yards and 3 Touchdowns.  Blake will travel to Kennedy on Friday.

9. (LW 10) Gaithersburg: The Trojans took down Clarksburg 32-12. Wisconsin commit Gideon Ituka rushed for 233 yards and 4 TDS in the victory.  Gaithersburg will travel to Quince Orchard next.

10. (LW 7) Seneca Valley: The Screaming Eagles fell 27-7 to Churchill in a hard fought game. Linebacker Marquis Watson scored the lone TD for Seneca with a Pick 6.  Seneca Valley will travel to Silver Spring to take on Blair this Friday.
