The Most Expensive Listing in The DMV ($50 Million)

Back in November 2021, we reported that the $48 million sale of River View (7979 E. Boulevard Drive in Alexandria, VA)- a 16,000 square foot home with an additional carriage home had set a new record for the most expensive home sale in DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia) history. A new listing is currently on the market for a whopping $50 million (photos below).

7020 Green Oak Drive in McLean, VA is a soon-to-be-built home overlooking the Potomac River that would be the most expensive sale if it was to go for its asking price. The 30,000 SF planned home consists of 425 feet of Potomac River access, 6+ oversized bedroom suites, 10+ bathrooms, 20 foot ceilings, an infinity pool, rooftop putting green, multi-purposed sports arena, bowling alley, exercise suite with yoga studio, sauna, spa, and Turkish Hammam, children’s game room with slide and rock-climbing wall, private disco pub with full bar and cigar room, beauty salon, temperature-controlled 3000-bottle wine cellar, and much more. It is being designed by Clarksburg, MD’s Design Studio4.

River View, currently the most expensive home sale in DMV history, was bought by Montgomery County native and former owner of the Washington Commanders, Dan Snyder. Snyder is currently selling his Potomac, MD home (named River House) for $34.9 million, down from his initial asking price of $49 million. It has been reported that he has also left River View, but that home is not for sale at this time.
